Here is my career as an engineer
The programming I learned at university was heavily focused on algorithms and embedded systems, which I found quite uninteresting. There were no lectures about web development...
Having been interested in robots since childhood, I joined a laboratory focused on robotics research. This was a newly established laboratory, and I was the first student. Despite challenges with no seniors and no physical robots, I became deeply engaged in research.
First paper writing and presentation experience.
Reluctantly joined an app development project with university friends. This was my first experience with HTML and CSS. I was amazed by seeing my code come to life as an app, sparking my interest in web development.
Participated in developing an English learning system. Used modern technology stack, providing valuable learning opportunities.
Initially considered becoming a robotics engineer as the conventional path, but decided to pursue web engineering to align with my interests. Applied to numerous summer internships to gain better understanding of web engineering.
Participated in a hackathon organized by Supporters. Experienced challenges in team development, communication, and rapid app development.
First overseas presentation experience. Conducted poster presentation in English. Realized the need to improve my English skills.
Company name withheld for privacy. Focused on 'What makes good code?' theme, learning about naming conventions and coding standards. Gained new perspective on writing code with readers in mind.
Experienced coding interview process. Solved coding problems while explaining to engineers, followed by 1-on-1 feedback. Learned importance of having clear goals and breaking down problems into core components.
Presented paper at a major robotics conference, gaining valuable insights.
Developed new features for internal services using Laravel, React, and Inertia. Collaborated with planning team on ideation, requirements definition, and wireframe creation. Gained user-first mindset.
Worked on performance improvement for production systems using Go, MySQL, and AWS. Improved parameters and algorithms to pass high-load tests. Gained understanding of performance tuning importance.
Participated in Hackts Hackathon Spinoc Cup. Developed a sauna space reservation system in a team of three. Received award from Progate.
Developed new features for internal services using Laravel, React, and Inertia. Collaborated with planning team on ideation, requirements definition, and wireframe creation. Gained user-first mindset.
Worked on development of currently launched product using Ruby on Rails. Learned practical skills with two engineers providing constant guidance. Gained insights into engineering career paths.
Started working from November 2024. Working 12+ hours per week. Currently working on UI improvements (React) and new service development (React Native). Gaining daily insights into professional coding practices.
Won Grand Prize and IT Startup Business Award at Kyushu App Contest 'Charechara'. Developed non-contact smartphone app for engineers.
Received Student Division Excellence Award, Startup GoGo Award, and F ventures Award at Fukuoka IT Startup Business Award.
